Asking about work, love or money
- Work
- You cannot win this one, and you shouldn't fight it. Turn back and accept what should be accepted, let go of the urge to win, and settle into doing your part well. You lose nothing this way, and it is good.
- Love
- Having argued this far, admit that you were partly in the wrong too, drop the habit of competing, and come back to getting along. Do this, and you lose nothing.
- Money
- If this money can't be won, stop fighting for it. Turn back to the rules and to what is reasonable, set aside the wish to win, and calmly keep what is yours; you come out no worse for it.
This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Song.
Line position
A yang line in a yin place: it is not in its proper place. Its partner is the first line, which is its opposite, so the two answer each other.
Fourth place: next to the ruler, a place of caution. Serve those above with care.
When you get this line
