Asking about work, love or money
- Work
- You are drawing close to your boss or a partner because you truly agree with them, not to curry favor. Keep your own character and your sense of proportion, neither servile nor arrogant; drawing close like this is good.
- Love
- Your kindness to the other person comes from the heart, and you want nothing for it. Keep treating them sincerely like this, but without trying to please, and without losing yourself for them; that is good.
- Money
- You go into partnership or work with someone because you trust them and get along, not to ride on their success. Hold to your own principles and limits and don't grovel; that is the right way to work together.
This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Bi.
Line position
A yin line in a yin place: it is in its proper place; it holds the center of its trigram. Its partner is the fifth line, which is its opposite, so the two answer each other.
Second place: the center of the lower trigram, a place of praise. Stay centered and yielding.
When you get this line
