Asking about work, love or money
- Work
- You have seen what a good organization and a good team really look like, and you are close to the people in charge. This is a fitting time to throw yourself in and come out to serve, giving your skills to a place that deserves them.
- Love
- You have seen the good in the other person up close, along with their life and the people around them. If it feels worthwhile, walk in openly and commit yourself; if you already have a partner, take more part in their world.
- Money
- You have seen for yourself how good business is really done, and you have a chance to get close to it. You can throw yourself in and work alongside, but choose a place that is open and aboveboard.
This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Guan.
Line position
A yin line in a yin place: it is in its proper place. Its partner is the first line, which is also yin, so there is no answer from it.
Fourth place: next to the ruler, a place of caution. Serve those above with care.
When you get this line
If this is the only changing line in your cast (three inscribed sides, old yin), this line is your answer. The primary hexagram is Guan (Contemplation); when this line changes it becomes Pi (Standstill): hexagram 20 changing to 12.
