Asking about work, love or money
- Work
- You got the job done and your contribution is the greatest, yet you still don't claim the credit or put on airs; that is the hardest thing. If you can do this, people are won over, and you see things through to a good end.
- Love
- In love you are the one who gives the most, yet you don't keep bringing it up or use it to settle scores. If you can manage this, the other person respects you from the heart, and the relationship can reach a good end.
- Money
- You earned the money through hard work and the credit is yours, yet you don't show it off or use it to press on others. If you can be like this, your partners respect you, and a good thing can be carried through to the end.
This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Qian.
Line position
A yang line in a yang place: it is in its proper place. Its partner is the top line, which is its opposite, so the two answer each other.
Third place: the top of the lower trigram, a place of risk. A moment of transition. Be on guard.
When you get this line
