Fu, six in the fourth placeHexagram 24, line 4 · Fu (Return) · changing to 51
The line
In plain wordsYou are walking the same road as everyone else, and you alone turn back toward the right way. Your strength is still small, so good or bad fortune doesn't come into it, but this is the right thing to do.
The Image commentary on this line
中行獨復，以從道也。
"Walking in the midst of others, returning alone": he follows the way.
The small Image commentary is the earliest explanation of the line texts. It usually explains a line from its position: where it stands, whether it holds the center, and which line answers it.
Verdict
平Neutral. The text gives no verdict, only an image. Ask what in your situation the image resembles. The answer is there.

Asking about work, love or money
- Work
- Everyone is still heading one way, and only you see that it is wrong and turn back alone. Your strength is still small and cannot change the bigger picture, but this is right; just hold to it.
- Love
- The people around you keep advising you and pushing you one way, but you alone return to the path you believe is right. You may not be understood for a while; don't worry about how it turns out. This is the right thing to do.
- Money
- Everyone is rushing after the same thing, and you alone turn back and don't follow. It looks like nothing much, and it isn't about gain or loss, but this is the road you should take.
This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Fu.
Line position
A yin line in a yin place: it is in its proper place. Its partner is the first line, which is its opposite, so the two answer each other.
Fourth place: next to the ruler, a place of caution. Serve those above with care.
When you get this line
If this is the only changing line in your cast (three inscribed sides, old yin), this line is your answer. The primary hexagram is Fu (Return); when this line changes it becomes Zhen (Thunder): hexagram 24 changing to 51.
