三錢六擲未Cast简繁

Weiji, nine at the topHexagram 64, line 6 · Weiji (Before Completion) · changing to 40

The line

Text有孚于飲酒,无咎。濡其首,有孚失是。There is confidence in drinking wine. No blame. The head gets wet: with all that confidence, one loses what is right.

In plain wordsFull of confidence, you drink your wine at ease, looking after yourself while you wait for the right time. No blame. But if you drink so freely that your head gets soaked, then the self-confidence has gone too far and you have lost your sense of measure.

The Image commentary on this line

飲酒濡首,亦不知節也。

Drinking wine until "the head gets wet": this too is not knowing restraint.

The small Image commentary is the earliest explanation of the line texts. It usually explains a line from its position: where it stands, whether it holds the center, and which line answers it.

Verdict

平Neutral. Neither good nor bad. Do your part, correct mistakes, and nothing will go wrong.

  • 无咎 no blame: no fault attaches, often because a mistake is corrected in time

Asking about work, love or money

Work
At this stage you can relax and rest a while, building up your energy as you wait for the right time; there is nothing wrong in that. Just don't loosen up so much that you forget yourself: keep socializing and fun within limits. Confidence carried too far loses its sense of measure.
Love
With confidence in your heart, enjoy your days and your feelings as they are now, without being tense about everything. Just don't indulge yourself to the point of losing measure, taking the other person's patience for granted.
Money
When you know where you stand, enjoying yourself a little and giving yourself a treat is no mistake. But don't spend until you forget restraint; if you splash money around whenever you feel good, you lose your sense of measure.

Line position

A yang line in a yin place: it is not in its proper place. Its partner is the third line, which is its opposite, so the two answer each other.

Top place: the end of the matter. What reaches its limit turns. Know when to stop.
