Asking about work, love or money
- Work
- In a key position, you need to be all the more humble: be willing to ask capable people for advice, let others help you, and be sincere with people without putting on airs. Do this, and both your character and your results will shine.
- Love
- Don't hold yourself aloof in love. When you need to, ask the other person for help and listen to what they think. Be sincere and don't pretend, and the good in you will naturally be seen.
- Money
- In money matters, when you don't understand something, ask humbly. Deal with people sincerely and openly, with no inflated figures and no boasting. Staying true like this leaves no regrets, and the benefits keep building.
This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Weiji.
Line position
A yin line in a yang place: it is not in its proper place; it holds the center of its trigram. Its partner is the second line, which is its opposite, so the two answer each other.
Fifth place: the center of the upper trigram, the ruler's seat, a place of achievement. This is where things are decided.
