Asking about work, love or money

Work
Don't keep working out what this will get you while you are still doing it. Do the step in front of you well, and put promotion and reward out of your mind for now; that is how going forward goes well.
Love
Be good to the other person without first working out what you will get back. Don't rush for promises or a label; make each time you spend together a good one, and going forward like this is right.
Money
You have just put in effort and money; don't expect it to pay back right away. Do the work in front of you first, and don't count the returns before they come; carry on like this and you will not go wrong.

This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Wuwang.

Line position

A yin line in a yin place: it is in its proper place; it holds the center of its trigram. Its partner is the fifth line, which is its opposite, so the two answer each other.

Second place: the center of the lower trigram, a place of praise. Stay centered and yielding.
