Asking about work, love or money
- Work
- When those above you or the people you work with need a hand, and it is for the same cause, put down what you are doing and hurry over to help. Just weigh how much to give, so you don't let your own work slide entirely.
- Love
- When the other person needs you, put your own things aside and hurry over to keep them company and help; there is nothing wrong in that. Just keep a sense of measure in how much you give, and don't empty yourself out all at once.
- Money
- When a cause you share with others needs your money and effort, you can put them in readily; don't drag your feet. Just weigh how much against what you actually have, and don't damage your own foundation.
This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Sun.
Line position
A yang line in a yang place: it is in its proper place. Its partner is the fourth line, which is its opposite, so the two answer each other.
First place: the beginning of the matter. Low position, little power. Begin carefully.
When you get this line
If this is the only changing line in your cast (three backs, old yang), this line is your answer. The primary hexagram is Sun (Decrease); when this line changes it becomes Meng (Youthful Ignorance): hexagram 41 changing to 4.
