Asking about work, love or money
- Work
- You are already in a position to help others, and helping them costs you nothing of your own: give someone a chance, say a fair word, step aside to clear the way. Keep to the right path as you push forward, and people will naturally rally to you.
- Love
- Being good to the other person does not mean wronging yourself or emptying yourself out: one more kind word, a little more patience, that is giving the most. Keep your heart true as you go forward, and there will be no line between yours and theirs.
- Money
- Making money doesn't have to be only about your own share: pass on your experience and your contacts; others gain, and you lose nothing. Keep to the right path as you push forward, and people will sincerely work alongside you.
This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Sun.
Line position
A yang line in a yin place: it is not in its proper place. Its partner is the third line, which is its opposite, so the two answer each other.
Top place: the end of the matter. What reaches its limit turns. Know when to stop.
When you get this line
If this is the only changing line in your cast (three backs, old yang), this line is your answer. The primary hexagram is Sun (Decrease); when this line changes it becomes Lin (Approach): hexagram 41 changing to 19.
