- Stop sidling up to please your boss and flatter clients. Saying what people want to hear and bending the rules to make them happy, you are the one who pays in the end. Stop, and let the work you do speak for you.
- Love
- To win a little of the other person's favor, you drop your self-respect and go out of your way to please; the colder they are, the closer you press. This road leads nowhere. Stop, and don't press yourself on them any more.
- Money
- Stop spending money to make people like you. Treating, giving gifts, slipping favors, hoping to get business or goodwill in return, only loses you more and more. Cut this kind of spending now.
