Asking about work, love or money

Work
Two options both attract you, one proper, the other a clever shortcut, and you weigh them back and forth without settling. Choose the proper one decisively and stop thinking about the other; good things lie ahead.
Love
Your heart is pulled two ways: one side is steady, the other only a passing thrill, and you cannot decide. See clearly which is right, hold to it firmly, and cut the other off cleanly. Once your heart is settled, happiness can come.
Money
One sum of money comes by an honest route; another comes fast but is not clean, and you hesitate between them. Stop weighing: hold to the honest one and turn down the unclean one outright. That is how real happiness comes.

This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Dui.

Line position

A yang line in a yin place: it is not in its proper place. Its partner is the first line, which is also yang, so there is no answer from it.

Fourth place: next to the ruler, a place of caution. Serve those above with care.
