Asking about work, love or money
- Work
- When the decision is yours, settle the big question and announce it plainly; once it is said, don't take it back. Bring out the resources you have built up, too, and help everyone through the hard time. Doing this, you will not go wrong.
- Love
- When it comes to important words, such as a promise, an apology, or a decision, say them plainly once you have thought them through, and stand by them once they are said. When the other person needs it, be willing to give your time and energy too.
- Money
- When the time comes to use the money you have saved, bring it out to help the people around you who truly need it and to do what serves everyone. Pay the money you promised once you have said so, and don't go back on it. Spending like this is no mistake.
This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Huan.
Line position
A yang line in a yang place: it is in its proper place; it holds the center of its trigram. Its partner is the second line, which is also yang, so there is no answer from it.
Fifth place: the center of the upper trigram, the ruler's seat, a place of achievement. This is where things are decided.
When you get this line
If this is the only changing line in your cast (three backs, old yang), this line is your answer. The primary hexagram is Huan (Dispersion); when this line changes it becomes Meng (Youthful Ignorance): hexagram 59 changing to 4.
