The line
In plain wordsMoving up, but like a big rat: greedy, and afraid of people. Holding a place you should not hold is dangerous, even if what you do is right.
The Image commentary on this line
鼫鼠貞厲,位不當也。

The small Image commentary is the earliest explanation of the line texts. It usually explains a line from its position: where it stands, whether it holds the center, and which line answers it.
Verdict
慎Proceed with care. There is some risk, or some regret left over, but nothing serious. Notice it early, correct it early, and things turn for the better.

Asking about work, love or money
- Work
- You have landed in a position you don't quite fit, and you cling to it greedily while fearing someone will see through you. Even if you do the work right, this is dangerous. Don't cling to the position, and don't cover things up.
- Love
- Wanting more while afraid of being seen through, holding on tight in an evasive, furtive way: this is dangerous. Don't be greedy, and don't sneak around. Only by being open and aboveboard can you stand firm.
- Money
- You hold an advantage you shouldn't have, you want to grab a bit more, and you are afraid of being found out, so you feel uneasy inside. Even if the money came by the rules, holding on like this is dangerous. When it is time to let go, let go.
This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Jin.
Line position
A yang line in a yin place: it is not in its proper place. Its partner is the first line, which is its opposite, so the two answer each other.
Fourth place: next to the ruler, a place of caution. Serve those above with care.
When you get this line
If this is the only changing line in your cast (three backs, old yang), this line is your answer. The primary hexagram is Jin (Advance); when this line changes it becomes Bo (Splitting Apart): hexagram 35 changing to 23.
