Jin, nine at the topHexagram 35, line 6 · Jin (Advance) · changing to 16
The line
In plain wordsYou have advanced to the very tip of the horn; this is the top. That hard drive is fit only for putting your own small territory in order: risky, but good fortune and no blame. Still, bringing so much force to bear on small matters is a bit unseemly, even if what you do is right.
The Image commentary on this line
維用伐邑,道未光也。
"It is fit only for subduing one's own town": the way has not yet come to light.
The small Image commentary is the earliest explanation of the line texts. It usually explains a line from its position: where it stands, whether it holds the center, and which line answers it.
Verdict
慎Proceed with care. The outcome can be good, but the text carries a warning. Take the warning seriously and the good outcome is yours.

Asking about work, love or money
- Work
- You have pushed all the way to the top, and expanding further is not right. That hard drive is fit only for putting your own team and your own work in order. There is risk, but it can be done; just don't use too much force, or it will look bad.
- Love
- Things have been pushed as far as they will go; don't press the other person to take another step. Use that hard drive to manage yourself and fix your own faults. Turning it on the other person looks bad, even if you are in the right.
- Money
- Expansion has peaked, and charging further out would be too much. That drive is just right for sorting out your own accounts and cleaning up your own spending. Just don't make a huge fuss over small money; even if you are right, it looks bad.
This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Jin.
Line position
A yang line in a yin place: it is not in its proper place. Its partner is the third line, which is its opposite, so the two answer each other.
Top place: the end of the matter. What reaches its limit turns. Know when to stop.
When you get this line
