Asking about work, love or money
- Work
- You have met someone who is a good match for you, a boss, a partner or a client, with abilities equal to yours. Go to them and you will be valued; just don't try to get the better of them.
- Love
- You and the other person are evenly matched and get along well. Whether you have just met or are already together, you can move closer openly, and you will be cherished. It's fine that you are both strong; just don't compete or insist on having the upper hand.
- Money
- When you meet a partner whose strength matches yours and whose approach fits, you can go and propose working together. Stand as equals; don't try to take a bigger share or get the upper hand. Go past that point and trouble follows.
This is how to read it when this is the only changing line. With several changing lines, first see which text governs; for the hexagram as a whole, see Feng.
Line position
A yang line in a yang place: it is in its proper place. Its partner is the fourth line, which is also yang, so there is no answer from it.
First place: the beginning of the matter. Low position, little power. Begin carefully.
When you get this line
If this is the only changing line in your cast (three backs, old yang), this line is your answer. The primary hexagram is Feng (Abundance); when this line changes it becomes Xiaoguo (Small Excess): hexagram 55 changing to 62.
